Update on the status of rebanding-capable firmware for the PSR-300 and PSR-400
GRE is has received reports of PSR-300 and PSR-400 radios used in areas of Utah that are no longer able to follow rebanded 800 MHz systems, including sites in the UCAN network.
The PSR-300 and PSR-400 are not able to receive rebanded Motorola 3600 baud control trunked radio systems that previously used frequencies in the 866-869 MHz range before they were rebanded.
GRE is pleased to announce that we have finished development of a free firmware upgrade that will allow customers to configure the PSR-300 and PSR-400 with custom 800 MHz trunking bands. When properly configured, the custom band plan will restore trunking operation on rebanded Motorola systems. The firmware is in testing now. Once testing is complete, the firmware will be made available for download at http://www.greamerica.com/support at no charge to customers. If you would like to participate in this testing, please email jack@greamerica.com.
Please check back here for updates as they become available.
